A research repository is one place where findings and the evidence behind them are kept so people can find them later. Its job is to stop the same question being researched twice.
Written as practical advice. Where a step rests on established research practice, the source is listed under References. Nothing here is a universal rule.
Finding past studies, or finding individual insights across studies. They need different structures.
Somewhere the team already works. A tool nobody opens is not a repository.
Few enough that people will apply them. Test with three real studies.
The last few studies, tagged properly. Do not try to migrate everything.
A study is not done until it is filed. Put it in the checklist.
Mark findings that are old or superseded. An out-of-date finding presented as current does harm.
Senior designer note“A repository is judged by whether it stopped someone repeating a study.”
